Giselle isn't too impressed the day the day that a florist opens a shop next to hers - sure, the blooms he's selling are beautiful, some are even exotic, but they are not to overshadow her extravagant attire! Her shop, Soigné, is the pride of her accomplishments and rightfully so; it is what everyone who is anyone is wearing in Sky Pass - and everyone in Sky Pass is someone...someone important.
Sky Pass is a beautiful city perched on a massive overpass, the stone pillars so well hidden amongst the clouds that some say it appears as though the city itself is floating, hovering below that bustling trash heap below. Only the best, most wealthy, upper class are allowed in this city, her mother explained, in order to 'keep the riff raff out', as she would say while Giselle beamed proudly. Giselle grew up in this lavish lifestyle as an only child, her father being a banker and her mother being an interior designer, meant that Giselle never had the cards stacked against her; money was never an issue. So, at a young age, Giselle mentioned to her mother that the clothes in Sky Pass could use a 'serious upgrade', her mother simply laughed: "Well, Giselle, you know what you were born to do" though she wasn't certain that her mother was serious. But Giselle took it as a challenge.
She taught herself all she could, reaching out to other designers in Sky Pass so that she could learn the tricks of the trade and bring them up to that of a more modern, elegant standard she was looking for. And as she began designing, selling her clothes to a few friends here and there, her name got around and before she knew it, everyone was looking to buy her clothes! That's why, at the young age of only seventeen, her parents surprised her for her birthday, bestowing upon her a store front that they would help her watch over but she would ultimately be in charge of.
For the next couple of years, orders pour in so quickly that Giselle can hardly keep up, having to enlist the 'help' of a few others but ultimately, writing it off as her own custom work. Around this time, Giselle catches the attention of a prominent young man, Arthur, who is a treasurer at City Hall and is in talks to become the next mayor. Giselle's parents couldn't have chosen a better man for her, giddy with excitement that Giselle was about to be thrust into the political lifestyle and that there was a man out there that could provide so well for their perfect little girl and their future family. She falls for him as well, as a kind, well put together young man and their romance, albeit sluggish and uninspired, slowly blooms until Giselle is asked to marry him, to which she happily accepts.
Now as the fiancée of a mayor-to-be, Giselle is living the high life until a new man waltzed into her life: the florist only known as Enzo. Rumors swirl about his life, his past and what secrets he might hold but mostly, interest flies for his too-perfect flowers from all over The Requisite and his charm that captures every girl's heart...except one...at first. Giselle finds herself drawn to Enzo's mysterious air but even she's not ready for the amount of danger he could put her through or what she might have to lose to keep him.
