Aiden Cain was going to do great things, after all, he's clever, at least, that's what everyone said. And Aiden full-heartedly believed it. He was born with a silver spoon between his perfect lips, the oldest of three children and by far, the most spoiled of them all. His father was a powerful attorney and his mother, a private investigator, both of whom gave Aiden anything his little heart desired without question. Aiden attended a private school in the heart of New York and during his days off, the young man would brush up on his law studies, preparing himself for his future when he would join his father at the family's office: Cain Law Firm.
Into his early teen years though, Aiden was struck by reality, the first, and most difficult problem, he'd probably ever have to face in his young life. His mother had a brain hemorrhage only a day after being struck by a car and passed away, leaving the family to grieve. But they moved on the best they could and eventually, Aiden's father would remarry to another lawyer several years later, much to the delight of his children except Aiden, who was too busy with his own problems.
He had found his interest in school dwindling by the day, focusing instead on his cute classmates and all the ways they could get into trouble...but not too much trouble. Skipping class, getting frisky in the backseat of Aiden's porsche and getting other boys involved in their lewd behaviors became a fun and easy way to help break up the day some, though it didn't take long for Aiden to realize what a catch he was. And why should he limit himself to just one person? He picked up boyfriends on the side, wooing them in every way while Aiden's boyfriend remained blissfully unaware of the infidelity until word came round the private school and Aiden was left to talk his way out of it.

And so began Aiden's line of lawsuits, as boyfriend after boyfriend became another victim of Aiden's bruised pride, even in the face of his own faults. Throughout his high school, college and even his law school years, Aiden collected the men's hearts like candies and tossed them aside when their usefulness had run out. In Aiden's eyes, there was no one that was worthy of him or his love...until he saw him across the grass.
A charming little brunette sitting beneath the shade trees with what appeared to be his own boyfriend (though he was well out of his league), just chatting away over their law books, a ripe opportunity for Aiden to introduce himself and so he did. And with one introduction and a phone number later, Aiden could see he had the man, hook, line and sinker and all he'd have to do was wait for his call. It was that call that would change his life - thrusting him into a roller coaster of a romance and a little bit of self-reflection that would force him to take a good, hard look at his life and finally ask himself if this, this life, is what he really wanted at all? Aiden is a hard one to puzzle out, what with his reckless behavior and prissy attitude but it's probably because Aiden's hasn't got a clue about anything at all; his life, his future, even himself.
